As a first response officer, you will provide services to traffic incidents on our Brisbane Network contract, covering motorways and tunnels. This role is for individuals who are highly experienced in motorcycle operations and have a strong desire to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • First responder to traffic incidents and breakdowns along major roads and highways.
  • Support situational incident response officers where applicable.
  • Work towards the safety of your team, road users, and other related parties while engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents.
  • Ensure optimum safe lane availability and relay up-to-date information to the public, supervisors, and the wider response team.
  • Operate a range of vehicles to assist with civil maintenance support, including 4WD utility, attenuator truck, and tow trucks.
  • Work closely with emergency services and provide road trauma first aid and small compartmental firefighting when required and safe to do so.
  • Emergency make-safe activities for road network restoration and returning roads to normal operational condition.
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we require:

  • A motorcycle and MR drivers' licence (zero court cancellations or suspensions).
  • Highly experienced in motorcycle operations.
  • A construction white card.
  • The ability to work both day and night shifts.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Level-headedness and calmness when working under pressure with strong self-awareness.
  • Incident management experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Full working rights in Australia.
