Job Overview

The Credit Risk Modeller plays a pivotal role in developing and enhancing existing credit risk capabilities through research into new methodologies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to build and enhance existing credit risk capabilities, providing detailed analysis, designing and data modelling within development, test and production environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD) for Retail and Corporate portfolios.
  • Retrieve and manage large datasets from various systems/sources, performing detailed analysis of sensitive data.
  • Provide recommendations to stakeholders for portfolio optimisation and credit risk management objectives.
  • Ensure all modelling processes are appropriately documented.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing credit decisioning and risk management processes.
  • Support the Project team on IRB credit risk model recalibration for regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role with exposure to SAS, Python, SQL, Java, R, Matlab.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial or Information Sciences.
  • A genuine driver and high achiever, delivering quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
