Cloud Solutions Architect

A successful Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure cloud solutions tailored to customer needs.

  • Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.
  • Leading database modernization initiatives, from assessment through implementation.
  • Architecting modern, cloud-native solutions using containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
  • Designing and implementing database migration strategies and optimization solutions.
  • Enabling customers' DevOps transformation through modern CI/CD practices.

A day in the life of an AWS Global Services expert involves working closely with customers to design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. Our team includes experts from across AWS who help our customers innovate with AWS Professional Services, upskill with AWS Training and Certification, optimize with AWS Support and Managed Services, and meet objectives with AWS Security Assurance Services.

Basic Qualifications:

- Knowledge of primary AWS services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)

- Experience implementing AWS services in various distributed computing environments

- 4+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language experience

- Experience with cloud-native technologies

- Experience in Linux and Windows-based systems administration in a cloud or virtualized environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of IT implementation experience

- Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies

- Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience

- Experience in automation through DevOps scripting (e.g. shell, python, ruby, powershell)

- Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical/architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
