In this role, you will be part of a broad team responsible for maintaining critical services and systems covering Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire. As a Data Centre Maintenance Specialist, you will respond to alerts and alarms, assign severity, prioritise rectification, and determine whether escalation is required to third-party contractors.

You will proactively perform inspections to ensure all critical infrastructure is operating as designed and identify any possible risks to the infrastructure and buildings. The position requires monitoring critical infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and making quick decisions on prioritisations and escalations based on experience.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Promptly responding to service requests and emergency faults.
  • Conducting initial fault finding, determining causes, and implementing remedies.
  • Communicating repair timelines with internal teams for coordinated client communications.
  • Performing critical switching to prevent disruptions in case of equipment failure.
  • Ensuring timely completion of planned maintenance, daily site reviews, and adherence to safety policies.
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a passionate person who has a trade or tertiary qualification in relevant fields (Electrical, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Fire, Telecommunications).

  • Proven experience/exposure in trade or critical facilities.
  • Prior experience in critical infrastructure environments with adherence to strict procedures.
  • Experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Exposure to data centre equipment, including CRAC units, UPS, generators, and fire systems would be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing critical infrastructure, utilizing electronic monitoring systems, fault-finding, and contributing to process improvements.

This position works on a rotational 12-hour shift roster (2 days, 2 nights | 4 on 4 off)

We require Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.
