Job Opportunity: Food Services Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide high-quality food services to our residents. As part of a cohesive team, you will undertake general catering duties for the provision of excellent catering services.

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, distribution and serving of meals for residents, visitors, staff and functions.
  • Orientate self with food safety standards as well as adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate relevant records, including monitoring and recording of food temperatures.
  • Report any feedback from residents on their satisfaction or otherwise with meals provided.

You will support each resident in making their own food decisions, in conjunction with Nursing staff, to enable them to feel socially connected.

Prior experience in a food handling role, previous driving commercial vans experience, valid Driver's License permitting you to drive in South Australia, sound food handling skills, adequate communication skills and good level of English literacy are desirable.

Essential Requirements
  • A valid Driver's License permitting you to drive in South Australia.
  • Sound food handling skills.
  • Adequate communication skills.
  • Good level of English literacy.

Prior experience in a food handling role and previous driving commercial vans experience is highly desirable.
