Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to provide assessment, management, and treatment of patients with communication and swallowing disorders in subacute settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, management, and treatment of patients with communication and swallowing disorders in subacute settings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior Speech Pathologists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in speech pathology.
Requirements
  • Mastery of speech pathology principles and practices, preferably with a Master's or Bachelor's degree in the field.
  • Eligibility for membership of professional bodies such as Speech Pathology Australia and knowledge of position papers/code of ethics.
  • A clear National criminal history check and/or willingness to obtain one.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in adult Speech Pathology, demonstrating expertise and leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
