Tour Director

We are a premier marine tourism company based on the beautiful Thursday Island, offering exceptional tours and experiences that showcase the stunning natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Torres Strait Islands.

We are currently seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will play a crucial role in providing engaging and informative tours, ensuring that our guests have an enriching and enjoyable experience.

• Greet guests warmly upon their arrival and make them feel comfortable.
• Ensure accurate attendance logging for each session, event, or shift.
• Create detailed and realistic schedules or itineraries.
• Organize transportation, accommodation, and logistical needs.
• Develop and rehearse commentary highlighting key points and interesting facts.
• Conduct tours according to planned itineraries, providing information about notable features and attractions.
• Verify arrangements, bookings, and reservations prior to the tour date.
• Equip yourself with comprehensive knowledge about tour locations, historical facts, cultural significance, and practical details.
• Ensure up-to-date, accurate, and well-organized tour literature.
• Set up and test audiovisual equipment before presentations.

• A minimum Cert IV level qualification.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• A strong passion for nature and outdoor activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum plus Superannuation
