Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at headspace Cairns. As a key member of our Access and Care Coordination team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that young people have easy access to appropriate care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with young people and their families to assess their mental health needs and develop personalized care plans
- Coordinate access to mental health services and provide evidence-based interventions to support young people's mental health and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and coordinated care for young people
- Develop and maintain relationships with local service providers to ensure young people have access to a range of mental health services
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Experience in mental health assessment and coordination of access to appropriate services
- Experience in the provision of mental health services to young people and their families
- Knowledge of contemporary evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Skills in engaging with young people and advocating on their behalf
