About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation in delivering exceptional healthcare services to vulnerable and marginalised communities in Cairns.

As the strategic leader, you will be responsible for upholding our mission and ensuring the delivery of vital services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing all aspects of the organisation's operations, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic goals.
  • Overseeing financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and maintaining robust governance frameworks.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to maximise funding opportunities and drive organisational growth.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with government bodies, community organisations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Directing and supporting staff development, fostering a positive work environment and high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role, demonstrating effective organisational management and strategic planning.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or related fields, or extensive experience in business management and development.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets, oversee financial operations, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, or the not-for-profit sector is advantageous, with a track record of working with diverse and vulnerable populations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders and lead a committed team.
