About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cultural Support Worker to join our team. As an Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children and families.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with parents, family members, children or young people to provide culturally sensitive support.
- Collaborate with other agencies to address complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Assist families in creating personalized goals and safety plans that meet their unique needs.
- Manage high-needs cases and situations, prioritizing the well-being and safety of clients.
- Participate in court processes, preparing necessary documents and providing expert testimony.
Requirements:
- A relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred; applicants without a relevant qualification require at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A valid driver's licence and paid working with children clearance number are essential.
- Documented verification of Aboriginality is required, confirming your identity as an Aboriginal person.
