Support Worker

Join our team to support children and families through engaging playgroups on Norfolk Island. This role involves creating safe, stimulating environments, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring smooth operations. 

Permanent part-time position- 16 hours per week (two half days, one full day); Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Engage children and parents in playgroup activities. 
• Maintain confidentiality of personal information. 
• Ensure a safe and supervised environment. 
• Report concerns and comply with child protection laws. 
• Complete required documentation and statistics. 
• Assist with setup, food preparation, and cleanup. 
• Promote a safe and tidy workplace. 

Key Skills 

• Experience with disadvantaged groups, including CALD and Aboriginal communities. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Proficient in written, verbal, and computer skills. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Certificate III or above in Community Welfare or Early Childhood or relevant experience. 
• Current NSW First Aid Certificate.
