Insurance Lawyer Associate

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly regarded insurance team as we continue to grow and expand our services. As an Insurance Lawyer Associate, you will work directly for a pre-eminent insurance practitioner with a strong focus on innovation, team culture, and personal development. The team advises on complex and high-profile matters, including litigation arising from the Royal Commission and significant D&O multi-party proceedings. You will work closely with other members of the team, including Senior Associates and Special Counsel.
The role will involve handling complex financial lines, professional indemnity, class actions, and D&O matters from a defence and coverage perspective. You will also assist the senior lawyer in construction and engineering professional indemnity disputes and some commercial litigation matters. Our clients include large insurers, Lloyd's syndicates, and their insureds.
You will be heavily involved in all aspects of matters and have the autonomy to drive and make significant contributions. You will be encouraged to foster and generate client relationships and engage in business development. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your knowledge, work in a dynamic environment, and progress to Senior Associate.
Key Skills & Experience:
- General insurance litigation, financial lines, professional indemnity experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
