Childcare Educator Role

As a dedicated Childcare Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and positive learning environment for children of all age groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing engaging educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Providing physical care and assisting children with daily routines such as sleeping & meal times
  • Conducting observations and evaluations of children's development, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance their growth
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for each child within the room
  • Supervising children during play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, children, and their families to provide exceptional support and guidance
  • Implementing and maintaining the principles of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • A current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Child Protection certification
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a cohesive and supportive team environment
  • The capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous childcare experience is highly desirable but not essential
