The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Wilderness Defender - Charity Fundraiser. As part of our dynamic team, you will engage with people from all walks of life at various locations across the country, discussing the most urgent issues of our time and inspiring them to join our movement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the public at various locations, discussing environmental issues and inspiring people to join our movement
  • Recruit and retain members, securing vital ongoing funding and support for our organisation
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups and local businesses

Requirements

  • Confident communication skills and a passion for nature and environmental issues
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 full days per week
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or a valid working visa
  • A full or provisional driver's license and a vehicle

  • A great starting wage of $32.35 per hour with added performance bonuses
