Job Overview

Palliative care specialists are professionals who provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and families affected by life-limiting illnesses. Our ideal candidate will lead and deliver specialist palliative care services in their designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with patients at various stages of life-limiting illness, providing care across different settings such as inpatient, outpatient, community, and hospice environments.
  • Conduct home visits, participate in telehealth consults for remote communities, and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans with a patient-centred approach.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, collaborate with general practitioners and allied health professionals, participate in service development, and contribute to a strong team culture prioritising dignity, empathy, and innovation in end-of-life care.
