Oral Health Assistant

Job Description

As an Oral Health Assistant, you will be a key member of our dental team. Your primary responsibility will be to support our clinicians in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinicians in preparing treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures.
  • Ensure the sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and exceptional patient experience.
  • Perform reception duties, including meeting and greeting patients, answering general enquiries, and booking appointments.
  • Process payments and handle insurance claims.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in dental procedures and familiarity with dental terminology.
  • Experience using dental software systems.
  • Demonstrates empathy and a caring nature towards patients' needs and concerns.
  • Possesses a friendly, positive, and flexible attitude, contributing to a welcoming environment for both patients and colleagues.
  • Understanding of hygiene and infection control procedures to uphold clinic standards.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the role.
