Job Title: Facility Security Manager

Job Description:

  • Seeking a highly skilled Facility Security Manager to oversee the security of our data centres in Melbourne, Australia.
  • Key responsibilities include overseeing personnel, physical, operational, technical, industrial, counterintelligence, and media management programs.
  • Create, implement, communicate, and manage security requirements at a large government-accredited site.
  • Draft and review security documentation to include transportation plans, procedures, and CONOPs.
  • Identify program and physical security requirements, problems, and solutions to sustain and enhance security.
  • Perform operations and maintenance of security hardware and systems employed onsite to meet government and AWS requirements.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external partners to heighten security awareness and engagement.
  • Direct onsite security forces to run daily security operations.
  • Manage classified material programs according to internal and customer security policies and practices.
  • Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics is necessary.
  • Must be willing to participate in on-call rotations for alarms, security incidents, escalations, and critical service outages.
  • Provide after-hours support and participate in emergent event response when needed.
  • Participate in recurring security audits and reviews.
  • Execute compliance processes with AWS policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in physical security systems including facility security installations, surveillance systems, and electronic access control systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of growth and increasing responsibility requiring maturity, judgment, negotiation, analytics, and influence skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to employ a third-party guard force in a dynamic operating environment.
  • Ability to manage 24x7 security operations including short-notice response to emerging issues.
  • Ability to coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
