Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Area Manager to lead our construction packages on-time and on budget, while ensuring quality, schedule, and cost risks are minimised.

  • Deliver assigned contract packages that meet company requirements and project execution plans.
  • Monitor consultant and contractor performance against statutory obligations, contract requirements, technical standards, and procedures.
  • Lead site risk assessments and participate in progress reporting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Manage contract packages with the Project Management Contractor.
  • Attend site fortnightly during construction works and contribute to developing relationships between PMC and construction contractors.
  • Ensure adequate testing, design verification, and audits are completed by the PMC during civil earthworks construction.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in civil engineering or 15+ years' experience in civil engineering and civil construction.
  • Prior experience managing civil construction projects with a minimum value of $20-50M.
  • 10+ years' experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Area Manager Level, preferably within the mining sector.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Advanced financial skills with experience in preparing and managing budgets and cash flow management.
  • Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage project teams.
