Job Title: Senior Ecological Consultant

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced ecological consultant to guide clients through complex projects from start to finish.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in ecology and excellent project management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients to ensure project success, leveraging knowledge of current environmental legislation and policy applicable in Victoria.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, providing advice and recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Team Supervision: Manage and mentor a small group of field-based ecologists, developing their professional skills and capabilities.

Key Requirements:

  • Graduate qualifications (or higher) in ecology or related field.
  • Comprehensive experience in the design and implementation of ecological field assessments and the preparation and quality control of scientific reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach to work, including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects.
  • High quality reporting and reviewing skills.
  • Prior experience in team leadership or supervision.
