Cyber Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Cyber Security Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Agency's cyber security operations capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement cyber security operations tools and systems, including SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning systems, and certificate management.
  • Analyse and respond to security events and alerts, and undertake penetration testing as required.
  • Provide technical expertise to manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, vulnerability scanning systems, and other cyber security capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of cyber security related policies and procedures, and assist with the delivery of the Cyber Security Strategy.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a cyber security discipline, including managing cyber security operations teams and contributing to the development of cyber security strategies.
  • Proven ability to analyse and respond to complex security incidents, and provide accurate and specialised advice to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Current or ability to attain academic or industry qualifications in cyber security or related disciplines.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience in administering systems for vulnerability management, centralised logging, and event management.
  • Experience in penetration testing and threat hunting.
  • Experience in managing digital certificates and PKI infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated, and detail-focused, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also have a strong understanding of cyber security principles and practices, and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
