We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Specialist to join our team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT. As a key member of our Philanthropy and Engagement team, you will be responsible for managing and developing internal and external event opportunities and activities in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop business cases and project plans for events, including date, theme, volunteers/staff required, locations, and event logistics.
- Identify and secure donations of prizes and goods from organizations to generate fundraising revenue through raffles and live/silent auctions at RFDS SA/NT major events.
- Develop and implement new fundraising initiatives to enhance the current portfolio of events.
- Collaborate with RFDS SA/NT team members, venues, infrastructure, and other third-party providers to effectively plan and deliver successful RFDS SA/NT events.
- Stay current and ahead of the curve on event planning, design, and production trends, proactively identifying and solving operational challenges.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or minimum 3 years' experience in marketing, fundraising, or public relations.
- 5 years of proven event management experience.
- Current and valid driver's license issued from an Australian State or Territory.
- Demonstrated partnership/relationship management skills.
