About the Role
Fulton Hogan is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Specialist to join our team at Launceston Asphalt plant. This is a full-time opportunity for a motivated individual to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of asphalt and aggregates to ensure compliance with Australian standards.
- Manage sampling and testing processes in accordance with specified requirements.
- Handle and manage chemicals in line with relevant standards.
- Manage reporting, record keeping, and calibrations, including reporting non-conforming product.
- Conduct procedures safely and maintain good housekeeping of the facility and surrounds.
- Provide technical support to production departments.
- Maintain the facility in accordance with NATA requirements.
- Work night shifts and weekends as required.
- Travel may be required based on business needs.
Requirements
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Professional communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, confident, and reliable.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others, and teamwork.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in heavy industries or interest in this field.
- Ideal candidate will have an understanding of the asphalt industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian standards is desirable but not essential.
