Pet Nutrition Health and Safety Specialist

The role of Health and Safety Advisor entails providing technical health and safety guidance to the organization, contributing to the improvement and sustainability of site health and safety programs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of effective monitoring programmes.
- Support for operational support staff, engineers, and shift employees with advice on health and safety issues.
- Ensure all legislative standards are included in the relevant components of the site health and safety plan and activities.
- Provide input into the development and assistance in the execution of the site health and safety plan.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of Health and Safety Training
- Support Return to Work Initiatives
Requirements:
- Sound experience in a similar HSE role in food manufacturing or mass production environment.
- Cert IV in WHS or similar qualification.
- Great project management experience in driving the delivery of safety projects as required.
- Understanding of government safety requirements and industry standards.
- Ability to facilitate safety training programs in small or large groups.
- Understanding of workers compensation and injury management processes.
- Collaborative approach to health and safety.
