About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at a large teaching hospital in Queensland. You will be working closely with experienced professionals to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services to patients and their families.
Job Description
As a Senior Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise in child and adolescent mental health services
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Supervising and training junior medical staff, including psychiatry registrars
- Participating in clinical governance activities, including peer review audits and monitoring care outcomes
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to child and adolescent mental health services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry or equivalent experience
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in child and adolescent mental health
