The role of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner is a pivotal one in delivering clinical primary health care services to Indigenous communities. This exciting opportunity requires dedication and passion for making a positive impact on the lives of these communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive healthcare services to clients and communities, fostering trust and understanding through culturally sensitive approaches.
- Develop and implement targeted health programs addressing specific health concerns such as Skin Health and Rheumatic Heart Disease.
- Assess, treat, and maintain healthcare systems for optimal outcomes, ensuring effective management of client care.
- Provide expert advice and support under clinical supervision to drive better health outcomes and improve community well-being.
- This position is reserved for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person; applicants must meet this requirement.
- Mandatory qualifications include a relevant tertiary degree and necessary registration/licences, emphasizing the importance of expertise and professional standards.
- A valid C Class Motor Vehicle Licence is also required for job-related travel.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant to ensure suitability.
- A competitive salary range between $98,555 and $116,189 per annum, reflecting the value placed on skilled professionals.
- An isolation bonus and return airfares to facilitate relocation and minimize financial burdens.
- A generous 12.75% employer superannuation contribution to support long-term financial security.
