Overview

North and West Remote Health (NWRH) is seeking adaptable Mental Health professionals to join their team in Mount Isa, with travel to outreach locations. Roles include Psychologists (various levels), Mental Health credentialled Nurses, Credentialed Mental Health Occupational Therapists, Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, Counsellors, and Wellbeing Clinicians. Excellent starting salaries from $53,000 to $98,000 plus 5 weeks annual leave and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mental health assessment, treatment and intervention services, plus engagement and educational activities within the community.
  • Travel to culturally diverse communities across Northern Queensland; work with children and adults, older persons, and people with drug and alcohol issues.
  • Establish and maintain respectful and trusting relationships with individuals, teams, staff, and the community.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA, ACA, PACFA, or AASW (if applying as a Social Worker).
  • Eligible professions include Registered Psychologist; Credentialed Mental Health Social Worker; Credentialed Mental Health Nurse; Mental Health Credentialled Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience with diverse cultural backgrounds is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must have a current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence.
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia.
  • Indigenous Australians are strongly encouraged to apply.
Benefits and salary
  • Starting salary from $53,000 to $98,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • 5 weeks annual leave; annual leave loading of 17.5%; relocation assistance; rental subsidy (Mount Isa); annual return home flight (Mount Isa).
  • Up to $15,900 salary sacrificing; flexible working arrangements; recognition of service ($500 after 2 years).
  • Continuous professional development.
  • Birthday off; other benefits as listed.
