We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our hospitality team as a Kitchen Steward. This is a casual position, reporting to the Chief Steward, where you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake general kitchen duties such as collecting rubbish, maintaining cleanliness of bins and the rubbish room, and undertaking additional cleaning tasks and schedules.
- Carry, lift, and push items such as plates, trolleys, garbage bins, food products, utensils, chemicals, and cleaning detergents.
- Assist with receiving and storing food when required and receive cross-departmental training.
- Evaluate compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen attendant or food services role.
- The ability to work autonomously and under direction.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the kitchen team and guests.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- A passion for the hospitality industry and desire to be part of a dynamic team.
- Availability to work a flexible roster across 7 days, including late nights and public holidays.
