Position Overview
We are in search of a Water & Wastewater Engineer to be based in our Rhodes or Leppington office. This role will report directly to the Director of Water & Wastewater and will be supported by a national team of over 260 specialists. The successful candidate will lead a project delivery team, aiming to fulfill client commitments while fostering client trust and satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing significant water and wastewater projects, from initial planning and coordination to detailed design and construction phases.
- Mentoring and supervising junior engineers.
- Acting as a primary technical advisor for the project team.
- Collaborating with various teams and offices to ensure a cohesive design approach.
- Providing expert technical input for feasibility studies and conceptual designs.
- Conducting construction cost estimates for budgeting and funding purposes.
- Preparing comprehensive reports and delivering technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Managing the planning and design of project components, including reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications.
- Coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and public stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Demonstrated experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure planning and project management is essential.
Experience in water and wastewater network modeling is necessary.
Proven leadership capabilities and a successful track record in managing diverse teams are required.
Strong project management experience is a must.
Ability to contribute to business development efforts and pursue new client opportunities is expected.
A history of leading technical engineering teams and managing water and wastewater projects successfully is essential.
