As a Technology Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outcome-focused risk assessments that influence technology risks oversight over projects and portfolios.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic support to ensure risk management activities align with the 3 lines of defense model and operational frameworks.
- Developing and preparing risk reporting to monitor the effectiveness of actions taken to manage identified risks and intervening as necessary.
- Ensuring project change is managed in accordance with governance methodologies and frameworks.
- Understanding, identifying, and assessing risks during project implementation and post-implementation, including overall impact on the project and operational risk profile throughout the lifecycle.
- Establishing and leading project risk workshops to identify risks and ensuring appropriate controls are adopted.
Key skills for this role include:
- The ability to identify the risk position of project change in accordance with the Operational Risk and Compliance framework.
- Assessing, recommending, and advising on risk management to enable sponsors to make fully informed choices around risk position and profile.
- Identifying and assessing risk impact and engaging stakeholders to recognize appropriate actions to mitigate the impact.
Key requirements include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders on compliance and providing insights and recommendations to enable them to effectively manage risk.
- Awareness of SOX and Prudential control framework.
- The ability to utilise the Technology Controls Library and other control frameworks to actively identify risk and apply the relevant controls to identified risks.
- Utilising existing processes to monitor the effectiveness of controls in line with Client's methodology.
- Ensuring relevant project stakeholders implement data integrity controls to minimize any operational risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding high-level controls that pervade through various technical applications, including teams, structure, and solutioning.
- Understanding service management lifecycle across technical solutions and functions.
- Understanding the technology, infrastructure, platforms, and systems and how that translates into business and business requirements.
- Ensuring projects with technology solutions are appropriately designed.
Key requirements include:
- Understanding project lifecycle including project plans, business case, contingencies, critical paths.
- Understanding how to manage and monitor implementation of multiple project plans and handle obstacles effectively.
- Understanding project plans, framework, and outcomes and identifying how this may impact technology risks associated with the project.
- Through experience and lessons learnt, supporting the project team to achieve required outputs of projects whilst directly minimizing risk outcomes.
Key skills for this role include:
- Working with stakeholders to develop and drive potential efficiency and improvements in project risk management.
- Supporting activities that provide stakeholders with insights that influence decisions and enable objectives within risk appetite.
- Supporting in the oversight of risk-related incidents and breaches.
- Understanding a matrix of inputs across regulatory relations, controls, and business risk and their impacts across projects/programs and stakeholders.
