Lead Recovery Specialist

This is a critical role where you will support the Claims management leadership team in implementing the Recoveries Management Strategy.

You will play an instrumental part in driving performance through team management, staff development, and operational excellence.

Maintaining a service and cost focus that achieves timeliness, quality, and cost efficiency will be imperative.

Your leadership of the motivated recoveries team will be vital for accomplishing the best possible recoveries while upholding stellar service.

About You:

  • At least 2-5 years relevant experience leading a large team
  • Recovery or debt management experience across the insurance, banking or finance sector (Insurance experience highly desirable)
  • Strong people leadership and a proven ability to motivate and engage staff to increase performance and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage priorities and relationships, eliminate roadblocks and create focus to achieve outcomes
  • Exemplary written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of liability and relevant insurance laws
  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Participate and support peer leadership group in decision making and resource allocation across the claims department
  • Review and report on department results and trends to outline the ongoing performance of the Recoveries portfolio
  • Review, research and make recommendations regarding additional tools and resources required to improve effectiveness and performance of the team
