Delivering a digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North by 2032 requires dedication and expertise. We are seeking a Medical Lead to provide clinical and clinical informatics expertise in the perioperative anaesthetic discipline.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional with advanced clinical leadership skills to collaborate with ieMR Program Clinical Leads, Program Director, Stream Leads, and teams to support the successful implementation of the ieMR. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent tertiary qualification acceptable to the Medical Board of Australia (MBA)
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics or equivalent

The successful candidate will be appointed as a General Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia and registered as a Specialist in Anaesthetics. They will also demonstrate expert contemporary knowledge of information technology needs, utilisation, and associated work-flows across Metro North clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and clinical informatics expertise to guide the implementation of the integrated electronic medical record
  • Manage activities collaboratively across Metro North Health within an interdisciplinary environment
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the ieMR
