About the Opportunity

Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our Asia Pacific team. As the APAC General Counsel, you will play a critical role in shaping our legal strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage legal counsels in APAC to promote consistency of practices across the region.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to commercial and operational business units in APAC to ensure activities, policies, business practices and transactions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage all corporate governance matters and make appropriate recommendations to management.
  • Draft, review and advise on legal contracts and commercial documents.
  • Work closely with regional and global legal group(s), compliance team, and intellectual property group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Law
  • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience working with business functions such as compliance, audit, finance, legal and regulatory affairs
  • Working knowledge of the legal landscape within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Commercial acumen with a global mindset and a good understanding of the different APAC markets
  • Leadership experience with ability to embrace and lead changes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation and to interface with management, commercial, customers and health authorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
