The Opportunity

Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking a seasoned General Counsel to lead our legal strategy in the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of our APAC leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping our legal approach and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of legal counsels to promote consistency of practices across the region.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to commercial and operational business units in APAC to ensure activities, policies, business practices, and transactions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Represent Teva in legal proceedings before courts, government agencies, or other authorities.
  • Implement global and regional legal policies and SOPs.
  • Draft, review, and advise on legal contracts and commercial documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Law.
  • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience working with business functions such as compliance, audit, finance, legal, and regulatory affairs.
  • Working knowledge of the legal landscape within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Commercial acumen with a global mindset and a good understanding of the different APAC markets.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to embrace and lead changes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation and to interface with management, commercial, customers, and health authorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
