We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed to grow their career.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining aircraft systems, including airframe and engine;
- Assembling parts and sub-assemblies of aircraft structure;
- Conducting routine servicing of aircraft, including component replacements and fluid servicing;
- Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines and propellers, aircraft mechanical systems and structure;
- Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly;
- Replacing mechanical components, including hydraulic actuators, engines and components, landing gear and flight controls;
- Executing post-repair functional tests.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Mechanical experience on SAAB 340 or similar type;
- Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical) and CASA Part 66 Licence;
- Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components;
- Strong team player;
- Ability to follow supervisory direction;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
- Passion for safe work practices;
- Valid work visa;
- Red ASIC card or ability to obtain; and,
- Current Australian Driver's licence.

Working Arrangements
