This is an exciting opportunity for a senior contracts administrator to join our team of construction professionals working on various projects in the ACT region.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules.
- Assist with progress claims and external variations.
- Review, negotiate, and finalize subcontracts.
- Manage and track project expenditure, including subcontractor claims.
- Administer RFIs to clients, architects, and consultants.
- Administer the project HSE system.
- Senior and mid-level construction/building contract/commercial management skills set with experience managing head and subcontracts on government building projects.
- Aspiring contract administration level; demonstrated experience in leading subcontractor/trade administration on medium to large built form projects.
- Industry-relevant degree qualification.
- Familiarity with Contract Law principles & construction-specific Acts, codes, and Regulations.
- Confident and collaborative communicator.
- Self-motivated and able to drive autonomous outcomes and decisions.
- Appreciative of processes and systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law, commercial management, and construction practices. They will be proficient in preparing and managing contracts, as well as communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
