Arcadis is seeking a seasoned design management professional to lead our transportation infrastructure projects. As a Technical Director/Design Manager, you will provide leadership and technical advice to multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring the delivery of complex highway infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sound and effective leadership to design teams, championing a quality culture and ensuring project delivery best practices are implemented.
- Develop and implement project delivery strategies, including risk and change management, planning, and project set-up.
- Ensure effective financial and project management controls are in place, enabling monitoring, modification, and forecasting as necessary.
- Drive project performance, service delivery, and technical and commercial outcomes, undertaking reviews to ensure client delivery exceeds expectations.
- Identify and pursue design opportunities, preparing bids and tender submissions.
Requirements:
- Relevant engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams for rail and/or road projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex highway infrastructure projects.
- Well-developed technical and commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and ability to secure opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build credible, collaborative relationships.
