About the Position:

  • Opportunities exist for a skilled and motivated individual to join our healthcare team as an Surgical Registrar, working in a rural setting to deliver high-quality medical care to consumers.
  • Care will be provided to a broad range of patient presentations including both low and high acuity patients.
  • The role involves mentoring junior medical staff and participating in professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in theatre, surgical inpatient management, pre-admissions, and outpatient consultations.
  • Providing high-quality patient care under the supervision and direction of Consultant General Surgeons.
  • Mentoring junior medical staff.
  • Participating in professional development activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Completion of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent).
  • General Registration or eligible for Provisional Registration.
  • Minimum AHPRA level 3 supervision for International Medical Graduates.
  • Competence in advanced life support techniques.
