About This Role

We're currently seeking a talented Speech Pathologist to join our team at Epworth Geelong, located in Waurn Ponds. This is a 12-month fixed-term part-time role (0.9), offering a unique opportunity to assess, manage, and provide client-centred intervention to patients experiencing swallowing and communication impairments in a hospital setting.

This position requires strong knowledge within the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders and how these can have a direct impact on a patient's overall health and quality of life. You will be responsible for providing evidence-based, patient-centred care, working collaboratively and confidently within the multidisciplinary team.

  • You will assess and evaluate patients in relation to communication and swallowing abilities and determine appropriate treatment.
  • You will have a strong ability to work collaboratively and confidently within the multidisciplinary team.
  • You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You will demonstrate relevant hospital experience and be eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
