About the Role
Amazon is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our BNE1 Fulfillment Centre in Lytton, Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Implement health and safety best practices in all work activities to maintain a safe working environment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
- Support continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements to our maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with senior maintenance technicians to share knowledge and best practices.
About the Team
Our RME team is a technically skilled and collaborative group of professionals who work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centres. We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement, and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team.
Requirements
- Formal trade qualifications in electrotechnology or engineering/mechanical trade (fitter/turner) with a current electrical trade license.
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems and fault finding within material handling equipment/automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
- Experience working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with computer maintenance systems (CMMS) and sortation machines.
- Experience in an industrial environment and maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
- Experience with print and apply machines.
