Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our firm in Sydney CBD. The role involves working with clients on various accounting and tax services, including financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and business advisory services.

  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and self-managed super funds.
  • BAS/IAS, GST, FBT returns, Div 7A.
  • Monthly accounts management including balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, intercompany loan accounts, bank reconciliation, and payment processing.
  • Preparation of monthly management reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have commenced and be working towards their Certified Practising Accountant or Chartered Accountant qualification, with a minimum of 18 months experience in accounting public practice. They should also hold a degree in accounting and possess sound knowledge of income tax, GST, and accounting standards.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Xero, MYOB, and Class Super experience desirable.
