Job Description

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management, and continuity planning utilizing best practices in systems support and service delivery within the ITIL framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure end-to-end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health by establishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors, and end users.
  • Understand or have the proven ability to quickly learn the impacts of other technologies or environments such as databases, servers, and networking in the support of enterprise applications.
  • Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance, and deployment of application-specific guides, work instructions, and technical documents.
Assessment Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident/problem/test/change and configuration management.
  • Demonstrated ability in the provision of high-level specialist advice on Clinical-Based Hospital Information Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer-focused ICT environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others, and work collaboratively with people to make decisions.
  • Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors, and end users.
  • Experience in a clinical health setting would be advantageous.
Working Conditions:
  • Participation in on-call arrangements is required for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply.
  • Flexible work arrangements are currently in force, allowing for the successful applicant to work from a combination of home/office. These arrangements are subject to negotiation with the unit's Manager and will always have a requirement to work within the business's primary location.
