Job Description

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Job Summary:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children in our centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a team of experienced Qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Educators
  • Implement and uphold the centre's philosophy while undertaking all duties
  • Develop and maintain a sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of service operation
  • Undertake other duties requested by the Director

Requirements:

  • Diploma in early childhood education or Children's Services or working towards diploma an equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar role or demonstrated natural ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of DET Regulations, National Quality Standards, Frameworks and Early Years Learning Framework
  • Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child Protection
  • Passionate about Early Childhood Development and the importance of high-quality Early Years programs
  • Ability to attend monthly staff meetings
  • Enthusiasm towards personal training and learning opportunities
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday – Friday
  • Current First Aid/CPR qualification
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
