Job Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Assistant/Kitchen Hand to join our team at Moonee Ponds Home on a part-time basis. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, presentation, serving, and clean-up of meals to our residents.

You will be expected to bring a strong commitment to customer service, food safety, and an understanding of special dietary requirements that will positively impact the wellbeing of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program
  • Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors, and staff
  • Preparation and cleaning in accordance with the Food Safety Program
Requirements
  • Organised, can-do attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience in Hotel Services (Kitchen) within an Aged Care Environment (Highly Desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety
Essential Requirements
  • Current NDIS check clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Proof of Work rights in Australia
  • Proof of COVID & flu vaccination
