Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our Retail Banking Services (RBS) team, you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless banking experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk strategies and procedures to ensure operation within risk appetite.
- Identify, track, and monitor incidents/issues, their impacts, and facilitate timely resolution.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal/external business stakeholders and partners to effectively review, monitor, and manage the current and emerging risks of the portfolio.
- Protect our customers by implementing initiatives which improve how risk decisions are made to promote the best customer outcome, including through the design and development of controls.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage deliverables across multiple products.
- Triage Change initiatives and provide risk advisory.
- Substantive experience in the operational risk and compliance craft.
- Proven experience in change management and delivering change initiatives.
- The ability to provide pragmatic and practical solutions to complex problems.
- Strong reasoning ability and negotiation and influencing skills, across a range of stakeholder groups.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with sound business commercial aptitude and knowledge.
- The ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, continuous learning and leading and building a positive workplace culture.
- A passion for delivering better customer outcomes, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
