The successful candidate will have experience in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components used in the mining, heavy equipment, and industrial sectors.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop custom mechanical solutions, improve existing equipment, and ensure designs meet industry safety and compliance standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technical engineer who thrives in a problem-solving environment and is passionate about optimizing mechanical systems for real-world applications.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial applications
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and engineering simulations
- Knowledge of materials science, welding, and fabrication processes
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems used in mining and industrial equipment
- Ability to interpret and apply Australian Standards (AS), ISO, and other relevant engineering codes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel to site locations when required
