About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in Geelong, Australia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our hyperbaric chambers.

Your primary focus will be on designing comprehensive power, lighting, communication, control, and instrumentation systems that integrate seamlessly with our multidisciplinary engineering components. You will work closely with our manufacturing teams to ensure the production of hyperbaric chambers meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for hyperbaric chambers, ensuring compatibility with multidisciplinary engineering components
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee the production of hyperbaric chambers, providing technical guidance and resolving design issues
  • Ensure designs and manufacturing processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards for medical devices and pressure vessels
  • Support the installation and commissioning of chambers at client sites, working closely with installation teams to ensure proper assembly, testing, and operational readiness
  • Provide technical support to field service teams to assist in addressing inquiries and troubleshooting operational issues
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, engineering drawings, and bill of materials
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in designing and developing electrical systems for controlled environments. You will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering and recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) by Engineers Australia.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • Recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) by Engineers Australia
  • Senior level of professional experience (circa 8+ years) as an electrical engineer in a highly technical environment
  • Experience in the design and documentation of power circuits, communication, control, and instrumentation systems, ideally within a controlled environment setting
  • Thorough understanding of applicable Australian electrical engineering standards
  • High proficiency in modelling and drafting in relevant engineering software
  • Experience integrating and testing electrical systems, validating performance, and ensuring safety and functionality
  • Hands-on instrumentation wiring capabilities
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience working with a variety of project stakeholders
