Seeking a dedicated and customer-focused retail professional to join our team as a Shop Assistant.

Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and service-oriented individual to work in our Geelong shop. This is a casual position that requires weekend availability. The hourly rate and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 3 and include a 25% casual loading and weekend penalty rates.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all shoppers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Supervise volunteers during allocated shifts and ensure store tasks are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an attractive and well-presented store by merchandising and pricing stock.
  • Learns local community preferences and showcases relevant products.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in retail and a customer service environment.
  • Experience in product merchandising and store presentation in alignment with Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of working with and managing volunteers.
  • Cultural sensitivity and diversity awareness.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Willingsness to complete required training (WHS, Cash Handling, etc.).
