Flight Assembly Supervisor Job

For a high-flying career, we are seeking an experienced Flight Assembly Supervisor to join our team in a permanent full-time position.

  • Oversee and manage all assembly and packing operations within designated areas.
  • Minimise wastages by monitoring, improving, and managing existing procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to managers where necessary.
  • Ensure flights are meticulously packed according to specified standards and promptly delivered to dispatch fridges.
  • Provide strategic direction, support, and guidance to teams of attendants.
  • Roster staff to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Investigate, analyse, suggest, and implement corrective action plans to resolve assembly issues.
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by executive chefs and senior management.
  • Train employees according to business training matrices and schedules.
  • Lead and participate in safety programs, including toolbox talks, safety stand downs, and other initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of flight assembly teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in similar roles.
  • Strong resource planning skills with experience creating effective rosters for large teams.
  • Previous LEAN or SIX SIGMA project management experience is advantageous.
  • Experience managing over 30 frontline staff.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to food safety and compliance.
