Delivering exceptional patient care is at the heart of this role as a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Cancer Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical practice that aligns with evidence-based guidelines and standards, ensuring high-quality care for patients receiving treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical guidance to patients, families, and healthcare professionals involved in cancer care.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care, promoting optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients and carers, empowering them with knowledge to manage their condition effectively.
  • Coordinate and participate in multidisciplinary meetings, facilitating collaborative decision-making and ensuring seamless care transitions.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in oncology nursing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years full-time post-registration experience in oncology nursing
