Lead Aged Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our clinical care team at Jimbelunga Nursing Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality resident-centred care, ensuring compliance with Australian National Aged Care Classification (ANACC) requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide clinical staff to ensure alignment with ANACC standards, promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- In the absence of other managers, take charge of day-to-day operations, maintaining a secure and supportive environment for residents.
- Provide leadership, administrative support, and reporting for nursing operations, fostering collaboration across departments.
- Offer professional advice to senior management on nursing unit development and management.
- Liaise with other departments to provide after-hours management and support as needed.
- Commit to quality management using LogiQC quality management systems and MOBnet Pathways.
- Assist in developing and implementing risk management strategies and nursing policies to ensure accreditation standards are met.
- Manage staff development, ensuring they meet professional requirements and develop capabilities.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships, supporting diversity and mentoring staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and current registration with AHPRA.
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in managing and leading clinical care in aged care, with strong knowledge of aged care accreditation systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of ANACC and experience in educating, motivating, and mentoring staff.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with Disability Services Yellow Card or be eligible to apply.
- Proof of seasonal influenza vaccination and current Senior First Aid + CPR Certificate.
- Immunization history showing two doses of COVID-19 vaccine is encouraged.
Working Conditions
- Part-time position.
- Basic hourly rate of $58 per hour (dependent on qualification and experience).
